Overpass API developpement

Hi

I have problems getting the templates, or permanent ID service, to work
on overpass.osm.ch. Here is an example:

https://overpass.osm.ch/api/interpreter?data=[out:custom];nwr(around:10,47.222981,8.8163386)[room=auditorium];out%20meta%20center;

The response says it can't find the template. Against overpass-api.de
this works. I am not sure where the templates need to be. They got
automatically installed in $EXEC_DIR/templates which looks right to me.
Or are they searched for somewhere else?
