You are right, my bad. I downloaded the package using wget, not noticing there was the older one already on the disk, so the new one got ".1" suffix and I applied the old one. This is the second time I managed to do this, grrrr.

Maybe (as someone else suggested previously) it would be a good idea to have distinct package URLs for different versions. 

Anyway, I will apply the new version and let you know.

If that's not the case, can you please double check if you're really
running the latest patch? You need to see a line containing
"std::stable_sort" in overpass_api/osm-backend/node_updater.cc,
overpass_api/osm-backend/way_updater.cc and
overpass_api/osm-backend/relation_updater.cc
