Yes, the database was cloned without metadata, and fetch_osc_and_apply is called without specifying any meta=no parameter (is it needed?)

this one looks strange. The update process tries to flush a file for
which no infos are available, and subsequently fails.

You're running this whole thing without any meta data, right?

I never tried this before. Maybe the process tries to process those meta
data files and fails because they're not there and also haven't been
created during the update process.
